That's still crazy.
Normal pub prices are nearer $4 a beer (?2 a pint). It's just the venues/clubs that charge so much.
That's still crazy.

Correct Carl, we have proper-sized pint glasses in pubs, but clubs/venues will sometimes serve cans or plastic 'glasses'.
By pints, I mean UK pints, not those silly little 16oz things you have over there, lol.
That's about the normal price I pay for beer at bars. But then again, I don't buy Miller or Bud products, so it is always anywhere from $5-$10 a beer, depending on brand.
You folk over there don't drink out of cans in pubs...do you? Everything I ever see it is always a wonderful looking pint being poured. The last one being in Shaun Of The Dead in the pub The Winchester. Movies like that, with Pub scenes such as those, make me REALLY want to hang in a true UK pub.
Ahhh Carl a man after my own heart!
I LOVE the old pub culture, I like drinkin', I LUV 'REAL' pubs dim lit and spit n saw dust, not these lame 'plastic' pubs ie all glitzy neon etc and NOPE don't go for cans/bottles ALWAYS a pint, no shorts neither and def NO HALFS! if your gonna have a drink HAVE A DRINK! lol! I ALWAYS try the crazy 'guest' ales also, if it's a crazy named brew I'm up for it! lol!
There's MANY boozers over here to trawl Carl you'd LUV it! I'm sure!

Ummmmm ... I saw the show at Rock City on Thursday and I gotta say that I was real disappointed with the Ga*Ga*s. I saw them support Skid Row in 2003 and was real impressed at how raw they were live, but it was a different band almost last week. If I wanted to go see The Rasmus I would do to be frank, the singer had a weak voice and the songs refused to stick in my head.
Zen Motel on the other hand were real cool - gutter filth rock'n'roll ...

Carl - most city pubs are slowly doing away
with glass pints/bottles so to bring down the
amount of 'glassing' incidents. (Although I'm
sure the lumpens stupid enough to do this in the
first place will also be stupid enough to
believe that it isn't actually thin plastic
which is continually bouncing off the edge
of the bar, but glass. LOL.)
I think the UK's a bit hit-and-miss really,
when it comes to clubbing and pubbing. Some
large cities like London or Glasgow, for
example, see, well, a not-as-much-as-you-might-
think amount of trouble after midnight, with
various sticky, wobbly gangs converging etc.
And yet in smaller, slightly more provincial
and picturesque cities, it's fucking chaos.
Compared to the rest of Europe, though, the UK's
still a shameful, barbaric, discultured joke
when it comes to its nightlife, excluding
specialist places, of course - rock clubs, jazz
dives, uni bars, etc.

This one's for Carl,

Yeah, I'll be replying to your PM soon here. Ya show off! LOL!!! Seriously though, if I lived in Belgium, I fear I would be the worlds largest alcoholic! I could be pouring Duvel on my friggin' cereal for crying out loud!!!
Mmmmmmmmm...Duvel...Westy (both Westvleteren and Westmalle).
Hey, have you ever been to the Westvleteren Abbey or the restaurant??? Supposedly the food is incredible at the joint by the Abbey.
Welcome to the board, by the way!!!
